How do I create an account?
Scroll down to User login (right-hand side). Underneath that, click on the “create new account” link. Type in your desired username and email address, then click on the “Create new account” button. An e-mail with an account activation link will be sent to you automatically. You have to activate your account in order to start posting reports.

Do I have to create an account if I just want to comment?
No.

How do I post an action report or idea?

  1. Login to your account
  2. Click on “Submit a Report”
  3. Choose the type of post you want to make (usually “blog entry”)
  4. Create a subject for your entry and a category
  5. Enter your text into the body
  6. Submit it!

What types of things are appropriate for posting on this site?

  • Reports on recent grassroots peace events or campaigns
  • Reports on recent voter engagement work
  • Ideas for grassroots action

How do I add a picture to my post?

  1. Upload the picture to an image hosting site (e.g., Flickr, Picsaweb, etc.).
  2. Copy and paste this bit of HTML into your post where you want the photo to appear:

  4. Scroll down and click on the “Input format” link (below the body of your post).
  5. Select “Full HTML.” (If you don’t do this step, your image won’t show up in your post after you hit Submit.)

How do I post a video?

  1. Upload the video to video hosting site: e.g., YouTube, Google Video, ActivistVideo.org
  2. Copy the embed code for the video
  3. Paste it in the body of your post
  4. Scroll down and click on the “Input format” link (below the body of your post).
  5. Select “Full HTML.” (If you don’t do this step, your image won’t show up in your post after you hit Submit.)
