Eugene Oregon: Community Alliance of Lane County Places Ad in Register Guard

On Memorial Day, the Community Alliance of Lane County, based in Eugene, Oregon, ran an ad in the Eugene Register Guard, featuring the names of 1,361 citizens calling for an end to "Endless War, Torture, Poverty [and] Surveillance of Our Own People." According to CALC Development Director Michael Carrigan, this year's ad had about 400 more signatures than last year's. It also featured a photo of the lead banner from the April 29 March for Peace, Justice and Democracy in New York City.
